Key Specifications & Hardware Details
The Magic of 218 PPI
Standard 4K 27-inch monitors render at ~163 PPI, which forces macOS to use fractional scaling that can blur subtle lines in code editors. The Studio Display runs natively in 2x Retina mode at 2560x1440 logical space. Text looks as crisp and ink-like as printed paper.
Audio and Desk Cleanup
The built-in six-speaker soundbar sounds better than most $200 standalone desktop speakers, eliminating desk clutter. Combined with single-cable Thunderbolt charging, your desk setup stays remarkably tidy.
“A luxury monitor that makes staring at code for 8 hours a day significantly easier on the eyes, provided you can stomach the high price and 60Hz refresh rate.”
